CruiTek is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager for an established industrial manufacturer in Dallas, Texas.

This is a hands-on plant leadership position responsible for day-to-day manufacturing execution, workforce performance, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is comfortable spending significant time on the production floor and working directly with supervisors and employees to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and overall manufacturing performance.

The position also offers the opportunity to grow into broader operational leadership as the organization continues to develop its manufacturing management structure.

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Manager will oversee assigned manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, staffing, resource allocation, labor utilization, manufacturing performance, and quality.

This individual will work closely with production supervisors, employees, Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, Supply Chain, Quality, HR, and company leadership to execute production plans and resolve issues affecting safety, quality, delivery, productivity, or cost.

The position requires a leader who can combine a strong shop-floor presence with data-driven management, employee development, operational reporting, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily manufacturing activities for assigned production areas.

• Manage production scheduling, staffing, labor utilization, and resource allocation.

• Work directly with supervisors, leads, and production employees to execute production plans and remove operational roadblocks.

• Monitor manufacturing performance using KPIs such as throughput, productivity, scrap, rework, labor utilization, OEE, and on-time completion.

• Analyze performance results and lead corrective actions when safety, quality, delivery, productivity, or cost objectives are not being achieved.

• Help ensure products and manufacturing processes meet quality requirements, specifications, and customer expectations.

• Support investigations and corrective actions involving defects, nonconformance, rework, and customer returns.

• Lead and develop frontline supervisors and production teams through clear expectations, coaching, performance feedback, and accountability.

• Manage overtime and labor utilization based on production requirements and operating targets.

• Coordinate with Materials and Supply Chain to ensure required materials and components are available to support production.

• Partner with Maintenance and Engineering on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, capacity, repairs, and manufacturing improvements.

• Support manufacturing budgets and cost controls involving labor, scrap, supplies, and other controllable expenses.

• Promote standardized work, 5S, waste reduction, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

• Maintain accurate production documentation, work instructions, and operating procedures.

• Compile, review, and communicate manufacturing performance information to leadership.

• Participate in occasional regional manufacturing or operational improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Strong manufacturing operations or production management experience.

• Demonstrated experience leading production supervisors, leads, and frontline manufacturing employees.

• Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the manufacturing floor.

• Experience managing production schedules, staffing, labor utilization, and manufacturing performance.

• Working knowledge of manufacturing quality requirements, inspections, nonconformance, and corrective actions.

• Ability to interpret operational KPIs and use data to identify problems, determine root causes, and improve performance.

• Strong problem-solving, planning, organizational, and communication skills.

• Experience holding teams accountable for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.

• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication, heat exchanger manufacturing, industrial components, or a similar manufacturing environment.

• Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S, or Six Sigma experience.

• Experience with ERP systems used for production, inventory, or operational reporting.

• Experience working cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, and Supply Chain.

• Experience supporting manufacturing budgets and operational cost management.

• Demonstrated ability and interest in progressing into broader operations leadership.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related discipline preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.

Additional Requirements

• This position is onsite in Dallas, Texas.

• Local Dallas-area candidates will receive initial consideration.

• Less than 10% travel is expected, primarily for occasional regional plant visits or manufacturing improvement initiatives.

• Regular presence within production and warehouse areas is required.

• Candidates should be comfortable working directly within an active manufacturing environment.
