Experience with ground-up construction is highly preferred, although significant large-scale commercial buildout, expansion, or similar project experience will also be considered.
This position requires regular travel throughout the Southeast and direct responsibility for field operations, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, safety, quality, inspections, punch list, and project closeout.
Position Overview
A growing commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects throughout the Southeast.
This individual will take ownership of day-to-day field execution and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, materials, site logistics, safety, quality, schedules, and overall jobsite progress.
We are specifically looking for candidates whose experience comes from established commercial general contractors and includes projects of meaningful size and complexity. Typical relevant projects include big box retail, light industrial, warehouse and distribution facilities, grocery, and other large commercial developments, generally in the $5 million to $50 million range.
Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily residential, multifamily, subcontractor-only, facilities, maintenance, owner-side construction, small retail remodels, or minor renovations are unlikely to align unless they also have substantial direct commercial GC Superintendent experience.

Enforce jobsite safety standards, quality requirements, and project procedures.
Identify and resolve field issues, trade conflicts, scheduling concerns, and other obstacles affecting project execution.
Maintain daily logs, field reports, inspection documentation, delivery records, punch list items, and related jobsite documentation.
