Description: The ideal candidate has strong Aruba wireless expertise, support upcoming projects, can manage day-to-day operations (escalated issues), and potentially transition into a long-term role.
Hiring Model: Strong interest in a contract-to-hire model; they want “rock star candidates” open to long-term employment. Minimum 6-month engagement.
Location Preference: Local resource in Nashville preferred for on-campus presence; open to remote candidates in Central or Eastern time zones. A permanent hire must be local or willing to relocate if hired full time.
Work Schedule: Standard 40-hour work week (e.g., 8–5 or 7–4). While not required initially, they hope the candidate will later join the on-call rotation. The role may require work outside normal hours for changes/cutovers, with flexible time off to compensate.
Technology Stack: Aruba wireless (AOS8, AOS10, Aruba Central), ClearPass. Wireless is primary. but some light Cisco R&S is a good to have.
“Aruba heavy” wireless experience; familiarity with ClearPass and Cisco route/switch is beneficial.
Serve as the “catch all for the wireless stuff,” working under the direction of the Wireless SME.
Assist with wireless building lifecycle work on the logical side, support incident resolution, and provide high-level expertise to other engineers.
