IT System Admin / Support Engineer (Tier 2)
Location: Franklin, TN – On-site or Remote (for experienced MSP candidates)
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Target Conversion Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 (flexible)

About the Role
A fast-paced and customer-focused Managed Service Provider (MSP) is seeking a personable, service-driven IT professional to join their team. The role is open to local on-site candidates or remote candidates with proven MSP experience who can contribute immediately.
The ideal candidate thrives on solving problems for end users, communicates clearly and professionally, and brings either prior MSP experience or a strong customer service background in IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 support to end users, resolving tickets efficiently with a customer-first approach.
- Troubleshoot issues both on-site and remotely (depending on arrangement).
- Support workstation setup, imaging, software installation, and hardware repair.
- Administer Microsoft 365 (user accounts, email, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Assist with basic networking tasks (DHCP, DNS, gateway configuration).
- Maintain accurate ticket documentation and client communication.
- Participate in on-call rotations for nights/weekends as needed.
Requirements
- Local candidates: Strong customer service background in IT (MSP experience preferred, not required).
- Remote candidates: Must have prior MSP experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients and de-escalate technical issues.
- Comfortable with 6-month contract-to-hire arrangement and target salary range.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and workstation support.
- Familiarity with networking basics (DHCP, DNS, gateways).
- Stable work history with minimal short-term roles unless clearly contract-based.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Active Directory configuration.
- Switch and access point setup.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
