About the Opportunity
A confidential and well-established multi-site manufacturing company is seeking a talented Manufacturing Accountant to join its corporate finance team in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. This role will play a key part in optimizing financial operations, focusing on fixed asset accounting, cost analysis, and inventory valuation. This position is a strategic hire aimed at upgrading talent and strengthening the organization’s internal financial capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close tasks related to cost and inventory accounting
- Analyze and report on variances, including PPV, labor, overhead, and inventory
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and capitalized inventory tracking
- Monitor BOM accuracy, landed costs, and time studies for labor allocations
- Lead inventory cycle count processes and physical inventory execution
- Reconcile general ledger and perpetual inventory accounts
- Support external audit and year-end financial close
- Update and maintain standard costs (NetSuite preferred)
- Generate key metric reporting and support financial performance analysis by plant
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- 3–5+ years of experience in cost accounting within a standard cost manufacturing environment
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)
- Experience with NetSuite preferred
- CMA or Six Sigma certification is a plus
