We’re recruiting a high-level Principal Consultant to lead business and technology strategy engagements for a nationally recognized digital consultancy. This role is ideal for someone who blends consulting acumen, technical fluency, pre-sales experience, and a human-centered mindset. This is not an academic or theory-heavy role—it’s built for someone who’s led strategy efforts inside the real-world engine of product, design, and engineering teams.
Lead discovery and define strategy. Frame business challenges and lead strategic discovery efforts that bring clarity to complex problems.
Guide early conversations. Represent the strategy function in pre-sales meetings, shaping engagements and building client trust.
Drive momentum. Facilitate workshops and cross-functional sessions that move from ambiguity to alignment.
Tell the story. Build strategic narratives and visuals that drive stakeholder buy-in and execution clarity.
Collaborate across disciplines. Partner with engineering, design, and data teams to ensure execution matches strategic intent.
Scale what works. Contribute to the growth of internal frameworks, toolkits, and reusable IP for future engagements.
8–12+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, or solution design, with a focus on measurable impact.
Background in professional services or major consulting firms (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, Slalom, etc.).
Strong presence in pre-sales and client leadership—you’ve led early-stage opportunity shaping and proposal development.
Demonstrated ability to work across business, design, and technical disciplines.
Hands-on understanding of full-stack tech landscapes: Java, .NET, React, data & analytics, product design.
Comfort with visual tools like PowerPoint, Miro, and/or Figma for storytelling and strategic alignment.
Growth mindset and entrepreneurial energy—this is a peer-level role, not an entry into consulting.
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Design, Engineering, or related field).
MBA or advanced degree a plus, but not required if you have proven consulting chops.
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Nashville, TN or Richmond, VA.
US Work Authorization required. No sponsorship available.
You'll be stepping into a team with a proven playbook, delivering high-impact strategy while helping evolve their brand and toolkit.
You won’t just build decks. You’ll drive actual transformation.
Excellent compensation, strong culture, and a chance to influence C-level direction.
