Overview:
A leading consulting firm is hiring a Practice Delivery Principal to help scale their Data & Analytics practice in Nashville. This is a client-facing, high-impact leadership role focused on enterprise data strategy, consulting delivery, and pre-sales. The firm works with Fortune 500 clients in industries like healthcare, financial services, and logistics.
This is a newly created role, not a backfill. The ideal candidate brings 8–10+ years of experience spanning data consulting, client leadership, and technical delivery. Must be capable of leading teams, guiding enterprise clients through ambiguity, and shaping strategic data solutions with a consultative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a data strategy advisor to enterprise clients, aligning technical initiatives with business value.
Lead delivery of complex data programs including data warehousing, ETL modernization, governance, and cloud migration.
Serve as the lead point of contact and trusted advisor for clients, especially in pre-sales and solution architecture discussions.
Coach and mentor internal consultants to elevate team performance and technical maturity.
Drive utilization, delivery excellence, and client satisfaction across multiple active engagements.
Top Skills Required:
Strong consulting and business acumen – ability to advise stakeholders and drive outcomes, not just deliver code.
Leadership experience running client-facing technical teams.
Hands-on background with data architecture, ETL pipelines, and cloud platforms.
Experience with AWS and/or Azure (GCP is a bonus).
Knowledge of tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Python, APIs, SSIS, or other modern data stack tools.
Comfortable navigating pre-sales, SOW creation, and delivery planning in enterprise environments.
Ideal Candidate:
Has worked in professional services or consulting firms.
Brings a blend of technical credibility and client-facing polish.
Can confidently own a room, steer conversations, and guide high-stakes decisions.
Wants to help build something – this is a growth-oriented role on a growing team.
Nice to Have:
Data governance or strategy frameworks.
Experience in regulated industries like healthcare or financial services.
Local to Nashville and open to regular in-office presence.
