Scope: Responsible for oversight, guidance, and leadership of the overall development, implementation, and maintenance of endpoint technologies for client’s Information Systems Leading the team that ensures endpoints deliver at a service level consistent with the needs and expectations of the organization. Proactively interacts with key customers and leaders to build customer relationships and ensure operations are managed in coordination with organizational needs and expectations.
Required Skills
Manage endpoint technologies, including hardware and software support for client’s corporate devices such as imaging, deployment and packaging software for Windows, iOS, and macOS devices, desktop Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and device
Ensures security, high availability, and performance of all endpoint systems using industry-leading practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of hospital system staff, vendors, and IT personnel.
Coordinates with IT departments to implement endpoint infrastructure in support of business applications.
Provides reports on the effectiveness of endpoint infrastructure and proactively recommends new technologies or procedures
Develops work plans and allocates resources for designing and implementing endpoint computing hardware and software.
Work with application teams to plan application upgrades to devices managed by the MDM platform.
Ensures departmental and team standards for configuration control, quality assurance, and change management are followed, enhancing and implementing improvements where needed
Sets measurable goals related to endpoints, monitors staff performance, conducts appraisals, and fulfills staff development, hiring, and evaluation requirements.
Works closely with the Service Desk and Client Technologies Management to ensure technical resources are available for rapid resolution of endpoint escalations.
Assists in budget development and management, handling short-term and long-term operating and capital budgets responsibly
Follows and develops departmental methodology standards, including project management, testing, security, and change management requirements
Collaborates with the IT Security Officer to maintain high levels of endpoint security
Bachelor’s degree in business and management information systems (MIS), or related technology field, or acquired through a combination of education and experience, required.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of hospital system staff, vendors, and IT personnel.
Strong ability to define, communicate, and ensure processes, policies, and procedures are executed in accordance with desired management outcomes.
Must possess the ability to deliver clear, concise communications and presentations.
Must be able to effectively and efficiently train others in key IT concepts.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills, a proven storyteller.
Strong management and project management capabilities.
Proven track record of consistently meeting service level agreements for MDM and identifying new MDM technologies.
Ability to understand the "bigger picture" and convey strategies both upline and downstream.
Establish and maintain strong key vendor and partner relationships.
Clearly understand client business challenges and the technical requirements.
Ensure successful hand-off and knowledge transition to relevant internal teams.
Nice to Have Skills
Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Enterprise and Mobility technologies (Microsoft, Omnissa, Imprivata MAM, and Vocera), vendor/contract and license management, implementation, and management within the ITIL ITSM framework are preferred.
