Purpose of the Job
The Project Manager supports the Sr. Project Managers and the construction field crew activities with administrative responsibilities.
General Duties/Key Responsibilities
The essential duties of the job are:
• Ability to assume field Superintendent responsibilities in the absence of the Superintendent (i.e., vacation, bereavement, jury duty, etc.)
• Ability to lead projects from estimation to final completion with minimal supervision
• Scheduling
• Order and track materials
• Track subcontractor costs
• Pre-construction activities including project investigations, pre mobility plans, pictures/videos of project site
• Creating purchase orders and sub-contract documents
• Guide and assist the Superintendents/Foremen in schedule creation
• Apply for and obtain all necessary permits or licenses.
• Plan review and “take-offs”
• Invoice tracking and approval
• Pay request tracking and creation
• Problem-solving to address delays, emergencies, or other issues
Requirements
• Must be local in Nashville, TN
• 5 – 7 years’ experience in the construction industry required
• 3 – 5 years’ previous Project Management experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, required
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Business preferred, but not required
• Must have great customer service and communication skills
• Exceptional time management skills
• Excellent technical skills and understanding of construction methods, contracts, and blueprints
