Position Overview:
A rapidly growing accounting firm specializing in providing financial services to clients in various industries is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager. This role involves overseeing bookkeeping, payroll, and the management of day-to-day accounting operations for clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong public accounting background (4+ years), a solid understanding of general ledger management, balance sheets, and financial reporting, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping & Payroll Management: Oversee the full spectrum of day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining accurate general ledgers, managing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and other bookkeeping functions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Advisory & CFO Services: Provide advisory support to clients on financial matters, including tax strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and business advisory.
- Client Accounting Services: Manage accounting services for multiple clients, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Tax Support & Compliance: Assist with tax compliance and provide tax advisory insights related to client strategy and financial planning.
- Process Management: Ensure efficient management of accounting processes, streamline operations, and improve workflows.
- Public Accounting Expertise: Leverage 4+ years of public accounting experience to implement best practices and efficient processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred, but not required).
- 4+ years of public accounting experience, including general ledger management and financial reporting.
- Experience managing bookkeeping, payroll, and day-to-day accounting operations for clients.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Tax experience is a plus, particularly for providing strategic tax insights.
- Client-facing experience with the ability to manage multiple client relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Healthcare accounting experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
