Sales Engineer - Hydropower Direct hire. New Bedford, Massachusetts. Remote flexibility.
Summary:
We are looking for a Sales/Business Development Engineer with strong experience in the Hydropower industry. This position is in MA, but there can be remote flexibility as long as this individual can be onsite as needed in New Bedford, MA.
Compensation: Base salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 per year Total compensation: Up to $300,000 annually on target earnings, including bonus and potential equity. There is no upper limit on total compensation based on performance.
Primary Responsibilities: We seek a division manager to lead and grow our hydropower division, commercializing our head-based and hydrokinetic waterpower technologies. This position carries full P&L responsibility and oversees the company's development and operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Business leadership: P&L management, strategic planning, and business plan development and implementation
Operations management: Overseeing quality management, product realization, project execution, and sales force development
Business development: Customer development and management, industry presence at trade shows and forums
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's degree a plus)
Professional Engineer registration helpful but not required
10+ years of relevant experience preferred
Proven track record in customer relations and complex project management
Comprehensive understanding of the hydropower industry
Experience managing sales, engineering, and construction project teams
Strong project execution skills
Solid business management abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Industry leadership experience strongly preferred
