Client seeks a dynamic, experienced executive to serve as its Sales Leader. This is a unique opportunity at a respected healthcare advisory firm. The Sales Leader will be joining the leadership team of high-performing staff engaged in the management and growth of client. Client is a regional leader in providing services around healthcare technology solutions for EHR implementations, legacy systems support, data and analytics, system search and selection, and clinical informatics. The Sales Leader will be a key leader in the development of sales strategic planning and expansion of new client relationships.
This person must be a self-motivated “hunter” and strategic thinker, effectively traveling on a regular basis. He/she will focus on developing and executing a sales strategic plan that leverages the collective knowledge and tools of client for continued core business growth. An exceptional ability to communicate, develop relationships and proactively seek opportunities is required. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Director with significant related EHR industry experience in Epic, MEDITECH, Oracle/Cerner and other EHR’s.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participation in the development and execution of strategic and tactical sales plans
  • Implementation of a strategic plan to focus sales efforts and meet customer needs
  • Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the day-to-day activities and lead the sales function
  • Encourage and foster a culture that promotes professionalism, collaboration, excellence, empowerment and accountability, initiative and risk-taking, results orientation and a customer focus
  • Consistently monitor a regional business plan
  • Willingness and ability to travel to meet face to face with prospects on a regular basis
  • Strong experience and understanding of complex solution sales cycles
  • Effectively develop and administer sales policies, procedures and programs
Qualifications
Experience:
    • Extensive experience in similar healthcare-related organizations, especially work around selling advisory and consulting services
    • A broad understanding of Market EHRs, terminology and systems 
    • Direct experience in a wide range of healthcare market segments
    • Experience with working with and developing relationships with Epic EHR health system clients is required and an understanding of MEDITECH EHR systems is preferred
    • Practical experience in opportunity tracking and sales pipeline management
    • Experience with both horizontal and vertical solution selling, with a focus on developing long- term relationships 
    • An excellent understanding of successful marketing and sales tactics and a demonstrated track record in closing key accounts
