Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer Location: Vancouver, BC; California; or Ontario (Preference for Vancouver). Remote flexibility if living in one of these above areas. Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our client’s team. This role is integral to the design and execution of lighting projects, with a focus on electrical engineering aspects such as inverter transition and AC to DC conversion. The ideal candidate will be adept at technical problem-solving, hands-on design, and will possess excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with project managers, clients, and investors.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Technical Expertise: Lead the design and technical development of lighting projects, including inverter transitions and AC to DC conversion.
Project Support: Collaborate with project managers to support project execution, from initial design to hands-on implementation.
Proposal Development: Assist in the creation of detailed proposals and technical quotes, often involving complex, multi-month projects.
Client & Investor Communication: Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to clients, investors, and other stakeholders.
Deal Support: Provide technical input and support during the deal process to help close projects successfully.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with project teams and other engineers to ensure project specifications and client requirements are met.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in electrical engineering, specifically within the lighting or solar energy sector.
Technical Skills: Proficient in inverter technology, AC to DC conversion, and hands-on design work.
Communication: Excellent listening and communication skills, with the ability to confidently convey technical information to diverse audiences.
Project Experience: Experience in preparing detailed proposals and managing technical aspects of long-term projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Flexibility: Willingness to work in different locations (Vancouver, California, or Ontario) and potential interest in transitioning to project management.
