Batch Operator
Albany, New York, on-site, office.
W2 hourly, full-time, ~$45/hr, 12+ month contract
Details follow:
This position entails working 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift hours on a rotation with other team members. May be required to work extended hours and on weekends for special batch runs when needed.
Qualifications
Must have minimal understanding and experience in using SQL/SQL Developer with Oracle/Postgres databases and familiarity with LINUX commands and .sh development.
Experience with JAVA, Spring Batch not required but encouraged.
Experience in using batch scheduling software (Automic, OpCon, Dollar Universe) not required but encouraged.
Experience in AWS Transfer Family or other SFTP server software not required but encouraged.
Familiarity with JIRA.
Day to Day Tasks
Support batch operations on a large-scale state eligibility project. Run and monitor batch schedules in multiple environments. Respond to and debug failures.
Run ad hoc batch requests for functional testing teams.
Create/maintain batch Linux scripts.
Create/maintain batch framework database entries as required.
Create/maintain batch documentation pertaining to specific batch jobs and the schedule as a whole (batch run book, batch control documents, batch dependencies, batch calendars).
Develop/produce execution/status/performance reports and data integrity analytics.
Debug batch exceptions and report findings to responsible parties.
Monitor and maintain Batch Operations Splunk dashboards.
Attend batch team stand up meetings.
